This is the first release from the Ardnamurchan distillery way out on the west coast of Scotland’s Highland region, owned by the independent bottler Adelphi! It’s a malt spirit aged in a combination of Oloroso Sherry and Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks for under three years, bottled at 53% ABV. This spirit will give give you a glimpse into what the future holds for their whisky once it’s been matured for long enough!

Branded with ‘AD’, marking both the name of the distillery and standing for “Anno Domini”. The slate grey bottle reflects the volcanic past of the Ardnamurchan peninsula and hydrometer shaped window highlights the colour of the spirit.

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Lovely earthiness, some leather notes and plenty of fruitiness, peach, pears, raisins and vanilla. Some nuttiness and spice with honey sweetness.

Palate: Honey sweetness, juicy apricots, light peat notes. Roasted almonds and slightly peppery.

Finish: It’s comfortably sweet, a little medicinal with light peppery finish.
