Scallywag is a Small Batch release blended whisky created using malt whisky from the Speyside region of Scotland. Spirit distilled at Mortlach, The Macallan and Glenrothes distilleries have been used in its creation and then bottled at 46% abv. Douglas Laing have released this bottling as a limited edition dubbed The Chocolate Edition! Using the sherry casks of Speyside whisky the whisky is enhanced with a  cocoa-rich flavour profile, which in turn results in a creamy rich chocolatey expression. Whisky & Chocolate anyone?

Our Tasting Notes

Nose: Creamy chocolate ganache, sticky date pudding with a drizzle of warm honey and beautifully balanced vanilla spice.

Palate: Caramel and dark fruits, Snickers bars, nutmeg and cinnamon, cracked black pepper.

Finish: Caramel latte with a chocolate dusting.
